These are the ground rules for using ShiftAssigner. They're an agreement between you and Teklick, the company that runs shiftassigner.com and the resume builder (together, “the Service”). We've tried to keep them readable.

The short version: your resumes belong to you, and so does the responsibility for what's in them. Check anything the AI writes before you use it. Paid plans renew until you cancel, and you can cancel any time.

Accepting these terms

When you create an account or use the Service, you're agreeing to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree with them, please don't use ShiftAssigner.

Your account

• You need to be at least 16 years old.
• Sign up with real details and keep your email address current. That's where we send security and billing messages.
• Keep your password to yourself. You're responsible for what happens on your account, so if you think someone else got in, tell us at support@shiftassigner.com right away.
• An account is for one person. Please don't share it or sell access to it.

The Service

ShiftAssigner helps you write, format and export resumes, with country-specific formats, ATS checks and AI writing tools. We're always working on it, so features will change over time: some get added, some get reworked, and occasionally one goes away.

We'd love for your resume to land you a job, but we can't promise it will get you an interview, or that a particular applicant tracking system will read it a certain way. The ATS checks, AI scores and country checks are there to guide you. They aren't legal or professional advice.

Plans, billing and cancellation

• Starter is free. Pro costs $12 a month or $79 a year, and Elite costs $29 a month or $189 a year. You'll always find the current prices in our pricing section and at checkout.
• A Job Hunt Pass costs $9 for 7 days, $19 for 30 days or $39 for 90 days. You can also buy a pass as a gift, or as a team pack of codes; a code works once and adds the pass to the account that redeems it. It's a single payment that gives you everything in Pro for that time, including Pro's monthly AI credits. It doesn't renew: when it ends, your account goes back to Starter and your resumes stay. Buying another pass adds its days to the time you have left.
• Team passes are 30-day passes bought for 5 to 100 people at a lower price per person, delivered as codes. Codes don’t expire, and the 30 days start when each person redeems theirs. If an order is refunded, codes nobody has used yet stop working. A coach can try Pro free for 7 days, once per account.
• Dodo Payments handles payments as our reseller (the “merchant of record”). That means their terms also apply when you buy, and they take care of sales tax or VAT, invoices and payment methods.
• Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. You can cancel any time in Account settings, under Billing & Plan, and you keep your paid features until the period you've paid for runs out.
• If a payment fails, some paid features may be paused until it goes through.
• Payments aren't refundable, unless the law says otherwise. If a charge looks wrong, get in touch within 14 days and we'll look into it.
• If we ever change our prices, we'll let you know first, and the new price will only apply from your next billing period.

AI credits

• The AI tools run on credits. Starter comes with 20 credits so you can try them, and includes 3 AI rewrites. Pro gives you 500 credits a month and Elite 2,000, whether you pay monthly or yearly.
• At the start of each month your balance is reset to your plan's amount, not topped up, so unused credits don't carry over. Credits have no cash value, and you can't transfer them.
• Each AI action costs a set number of credits: a rewrite costs 1, for example, and importing a resume costs 3. If an action fails, you get those credits back automatically.

AI-generated content

The AI does its best, but it can get things wrong, leave things out or suggest something that doesn't fit. It's up to you to read everything before you use it, and to make sure your resume honestly reflects your own experience and qualifications. Please don't use ShiftAssigner to invent credentials or mislead employers.

Your content

• The resumes and anything else you create or upload are yours. We call this “Your Content”.
• To run the Service, we need your permission to store, process, show and send Your Content, including to the providers that power features like AI. We only use it to do that.
• You're responsible for having the right to use Your Content. That includes personal details about other people, like references.
• You can delete any resume whenever you want. To close your whole account, get in touch. Our Privacy Policy explains what happens next.

Acceptable use

Please don't use ShiftAssigner to:

• break the law or someone else's rights;
• upload malware or try to get into accounts, data or systems that aren't yours;
• scrape or overload the Service, reverse-engineer it, or dodge usage limits, credits or plan restrictions;
• resell the Service or pass it off as your own product without our written OK;
• create anything fraudulent, hateful, harassing or otherwise harmful.

Portfolio websites

• You can publish a portfolio website at an address on shiftassigner.com. You’re responsible for everything on it, including images and links, and you must have the right to use them.
• A portfolio must not impersonate a person or a company, ask for passwords or payment details, promote anything illegal, contain hateful, sexual or violent content, spread malware or spam, or present someone else’s work as yours.
• We can take a portfolio down straight away, without notice, if it breaks these rules or the law, or if it’s reported and seems to. If you think we got it wrong, write to us at support@shiftassigner.com.
• Portfolios on the free plan show a small “Made with ShiftAssigner” link. Paid plans can hide it while they’re active.
• A portfolio’s contact form passes messages to its owner by email. Don’t use it to send spam or advertising.

Our intellectual property

The software, templates, designs, text, and the ShiftAssigner name and logo belong to Teklick or the people we license them from. You're welcome to use our templates to make your own resumes. Beyond that, these terms don't give you any rights to them.

Third-party services

ShiftAssigner relies on other companies: Dodo Payments for payments, OpenRouter for AI, and Google, GitHub and LinkedIn for sign-in. When you use their part of the experience, their terms apply too, and we can't be responsible for how their services work.

Suspension and termination

You're free to stop using ShiftAssigner whenever you like. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts the Service or other people at risk. When it's reasonable to do so, we'll warn you first and give you a chance to download your resumes. If we close your account and you didn't break these terms, we'll refund the part of your subscription you haven't used.

Disclaimers

We work hard to keep ShiftAssigner running smoothly, but we provide it “as is” and “as available”. As far as the law allows, we don't make any promises beyond what's written here, and we can't guarantee the Service will never go down or have bugs. For resumes that matter, keep your own copy, such as an exported PDF.

Limitation of liability

As far as the law allows, we're not liable for indirect losses, like a missed job opportunity, lost income or lost data. If something does go wrong, the most we'll owe you for any claim is what you paid us in the 12 months before it, or USD 50 if you haven't paid us anything. None of this takes away rights the law says can't be limited, including your rights as a consumer.

Governing law

These terms follow the laws of Tunisia, and any dispute goes to the courts of Tunis, Tunisia, unless consumer law where you live lets you bring a claim at home. Before it ever gets that far, please talk to us. Most problems can be sorted out with a quick email.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we'll change the date at the top, and for important changes we'll tell signed-in users by email or in the app before they take effect. If you keep using ShiftAssigner after that, the updated terms apply.
